Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 as the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer, was one of the first Roberts to arrive in Atlanta. Early on, her father became interested in theater. When he was a college students studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of many performances. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force and while stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi, he appeared in a production with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in the year 1955 and the couple's first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter attended Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in the year 1957. Walter was recruited as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to be a part of the production team for the television show Bum Bum His Buddies. The show was filmed in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show for kids named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou established their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It lasted for about six years. In 1965, they welcomed two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
